We promote a teaching environment and value the personal and professional growth of every staff member.Qualifications and Requirements:As a Veterinary Technician Professional you already have a pretty good idea as to the day-to-day requirements of being a talented Veterinary Technician. Here are some of the key skills that we are seeking that are relevant to this opportunity:
- RVT or equivalent certification
- 1+ years of experience working as a Vet Technician
- Proficiency with surgery, anesthesia, diagnostic imaging and dentistry
- Venipuncture and IV Catheter Placement
- Vaccine and Preventative knowledge
- Medication dispensing and administering
- Collection and analysis of lab samples
- Efficiency and time management skills, as well as the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment while keeping a keen attention to detail
Core Responsibilities:The primary purpose and function of the Veterinary Technician is to support Veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care, advocating for pets and educating clients.
- Work collaboratively with the medical team and under the direct supervision of the Veterinarians to execute patient treatment plans
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with patients, clients and coworkers - great things happen when everyone works together
- Maintain a positive, supportive team approach at all times
- Ability to escalate feedback to management rather than participating in workplace gossip
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic with a desire to continue to advance your skill set and knowledge
- Ability to work in a changing environment
