Job Summary/Basic Functions
The University Registrar is a central leadership position responsible for a wide array of administrative and academic functions crucial to university operations. This role entails overseeing the equitable application of academic policies, managing the staffing and resources of the Registrar's Office, and enhancing student services through a dedicated academic service center. Additionally, the Registrar plays a key role in forming strategic partnerships, leveraging technology to streamline operations, and ensuring compliance with institutional and federal regulations. Through these responsibilities, the Registrar supports institutional traditions, promotes data integrity for informed decision-making, and ensures the success and retention of students.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: A Master's degree is required.
Experience: Five (5) years of progressive experience as a Registrar or in an Office of the Registrar or a director/manager in a related administrative area within higher education.
Requires strong supervisory experience and the ability to work well under pressure.

* 25% - Ensure academic integrity per AACRAO standards and policies; manage student information access per FERPA and university policies; oversee scanning/indexing in Banner; control record transcriptions and credentialing; maintain data integrity; handle transfer and advanced credit evaluations. - (Essential)
* 25% - Develop staffing for the Registrar's Office, including structure, hiring, supervision, development, performance management, coaching, and succession planning; manage budget and resources; set goals supporting the University Strategic Plan; evaluate outcomes to inform improvements. - (Essential)
* 25% - Create, manage, and promote a student-centric academic service center that provides transcript, enrollment, grades, and degree verification services. Provide IT (Information Technology) support, training on university resources, and Banner Self Services via myEKU portal. - (Essential)
* 15% - Guide partnerships to implement emerging strategies across college, advising, and programs entities, leveraging technology for efficient processes. Partner with advising centers for program planning/degree audits, registration, and academic progress to boost retention and graduation rates. - (Essential)
* 10% - Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including enrollment reporting via NSC (National Student Clearinghouse) and NSLDS (National Student Loan Data System), textbook info, and FERPA. Manage sensitive actions like withdrawals and disciplinary measures affecting student status and title IV refunds. - (Essential)
