Job Description:
Harrison County Hospital has an opening for a Registration Clerk.The Registration Clerk provides timely, accurate information and direction to patients and visitors while protecting patients' rights to privacy, monitors security of entrance/exit doors, answers the phone and performs filing or other unskilled business office functions as directed, and participates in activities as assigned. Clerks obtain and collect all patient consent signatures, demographic information and insurance billing information at the time of registration while maintaining excellent customer service.Position available:
  • Full-time, Days, M-F (2p-6:15p) 24-32 hrs/wk
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • Knowledge of patient registration and health insurance preferred, but not required.
SKILLS:
  • Must have basic knowledge of computer and related functions.
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize workload amongst frequent interruptions with competing priorities.
  • Must be able to handle conflict in a professional manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
