Apply now and be part of an unparalleled legacy in hospitality.Job SummaryThe Regulatory Affairs Manager will oversee and ensure compliance with all domestic and international laws and regulations governing the cruise industry. This position is critical in managing regulatory risks, fostering relationships with regulatory authorities, and supporting the company's operations in delivering a world-class luxury yachting experience.Essential Functions
  • Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with maritime, environmental, health, and safety regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code).
  • Handles all regulatory matters for the organization, including corporate filings in Malta, France, Monaco, and the United States.
  • Maintain awareness of legal and regulatory developments that may impact company operations and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies to ensure the company's compliance with all applicable international, federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Stay current with regulatory changes and provide updates.
  • Oversee the application and renewal of permits, certifications, and licenses for fleet operations in various jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure timely approvals for international itineraries and port access.
  • Draft and implement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on compliance requirements.
  • Maintain database and other reference materials related to legislative and regulatory issues and compliance.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, detailing compliance performance and risk assessments.
  • Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts and agreements with vendors, partners, and clients. Ensure all contracts protect the company's interests and comply with legal standards.
  • Prepare and present reports on regulatory matters. Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement emergency response plans in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide legal and regulatory expertise during incident investigations.
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law and regulatory affairs, maritime law, hospitality, or a related industry
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, international maritime regulations, and port-state control requirements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and regulatory software/tools
  • In-house expertise to develop and execute the right strategy worldwide across the EU, North America, LATAM, MENA, CIS, APAC regions, and South Africa.
Work Environment
  • This position is hybrid (1-2 days weekly) in Fort Lauderdale, FL
  • Full-time and requires working additional time outside of normal business hours.
