Job Title: Regulatory and Quality Reporting Project Manager

Location(s): San Francisco, CA

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluating Epic applications and related third-party information systems for the organization;
  • Participating in planning, developing, training, implementation, and evaluation of information systems to support organizational and strategic priorities;
  • Developing, evaluating, and determining ongoing support for all components of assigned projects. Incumbent will manage multiple projects simultaneously of various sizes in a cross matrixed environment.
  • The project manager will be available to answer any support/project questions, assist in troubleshooting, give guidance on projects and general next steps, as well as provide detailed status to project stakeholders.
  • This role works closely with operational and clinical stakeholders, application managers, analysts and others to lead and coordinate all project activities, data and communication that arise during the project life cycle.
  • The project manager has knowledge of Epic Applications and how they relate to supporting regulatory and quality programs.
  • The position works closely with operational teams and serves as a bridge between leadership, end users, affiliate physician network, vendors, and IT support teams.
  • This role involves complex regulatory and quality programs, such as MIPS, and demands strong project management skills and superior customer service interactions with a wide range of constituents.
  • The candidate needs to be a collaborative partner to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community physicians.
  • They will serve as the liaison to external healthcare partners as physician leaders and clinic directors.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Experience with quality improvement principles, practices, and tools into system design.
  • Experience working in an academic institution or large integrated health system.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to run analytical reports and summarize information.
  • Advanced organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and see projects through from inception to completion on schedule.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage highly-complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively with a broad range of clinical and professional staff.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skill with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner and produce high-quality documents, reports and presentations.
  • Knowledge of physician practices, health care issues, trends, managed care relationships, and healthcare systems.
  • Advanced ability to influence and persuade staff, management, and clinicians at all levels and across departments.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment in handling sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Excellent analytical, program and project management and independent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience implementing aspects of national quality measure initiatives and protocols (through provider groups, payers, state/federal institutions), such as HEDIS, Medicare Stars, PQRS, Meaningful Use, State Medicaid programs, MACRA.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate critical information across disciplines. Understands how projects relate to other business strategies and initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulations - Preferred.
  • Experience with designing and monitoring technology-enabled organizational change - Preferred.

Education, Licenses and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • PMP Certification - Preferred.
  • EPIC Certification in one or more Clinical or Revenue Cycle application(s) - Preferred.
