MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional or nonprofessional experience in administrative work, regulatory work, consumer complaint program work, interviewing, business administration, customer service or public relations or investigations.

Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

An equivalent combination of education and experience which equals six (6) years can substitute for the above requirements.

This position will be assigned one of the following shifts based on availability: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm M-F.

JOB DUTIES:

Provides training for all new hires and ongoing training for Call Center (Consumer Assistance Center) staff.

Assists with monitoring Call Center agents incoming telephone calls, live chat and email messages to ensure that accurate information is provided in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner , and that agents adhere to established policies and procedures. Provides effective feedback to Call Center supervisor and section manager to assist with team efficiency and agent productivity. Provides coaching, training and development to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times.

Performs research and makes updates to the A-Z Resource Guide.

Assists with updating training manual for the Call Center (Consumer Assistance Center).

Provides leadership and administrative support in the Call Center (Consumer Assistance Center). Responsible for effectively communicating directions and information from section leadership to staff.

Handles telephone, live chat, and email inquiries, complaints, and requests from consumers, business owners, and other interested parties regarding program areas administered by the division, non-regulated areas and general consumer information. Refers telephone, live chat, and email inquiries to the proper office, section or agency when appropriate.

Performs research necessary to answer questions and assist consumers and others in a variety of subject areas; reviews current literature on consumerism to stay abreast of the latest developments.

Provides applicants with guidance regarding registration and exemption under the regulatory functions of the division. Assists consumers filing complaints with the division or seeking information, whether specific or general.

Uses computer equipment to search and store data and to enter necessary information to process a call, live chat or email. Handles requests for consumer complaint forms, brochures, registration packages, and any other materials available from the division. Timely processes and fulfills requests for written information or materials.

Assists with handling escalated calls.

Serves as on duty supervisor when necessary.

May assist with preparing reports and handling special projects.

May provide training for other department/division staff upon request.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
