Position Overview: Our Rehab Aides play a crucial in supporting our rehab nurses and therapists in providing top-quality rehabilitation treatment and patient care, adhering to facility, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. They work closely with our therapists and Director of Rehab to ensure a safe and enjoyable working environment while assisting in equipment setup and various other tasks.
Position Type: Full-time or Part Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist therapists and Director of Rehab with equipment setup and cleaning.
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable working environment.
- Transport patients as needed.
- Assist with patient activities.
- Perform clerical duties to support therapy programs.
- Work under direct supervision.
- Utilize unscheduled time effectively to benefit the department, therapists, or patients.
- Maintain a schedule to complete all assignments and treatments.
- Engage with patients respectfully and appropriately.
- Prepare patients for treatment by setting up equipment as directed by therapists.
- Work with patients under therapist supervision.
- Accurately and safely follow therapist directions.
- Complete clerical tasks, such as filing, copying, and computer work, in a timely manner.
- Conduct equipment inventory, updates, and deep cleanings and notify the supervisor of equipment and supply needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare experience
- Associate degree or currently enrolled in a PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or SLP program, seeking healthcare experience while in school.
