Employment OpportunityRehab Services AssociateJob Description:VIA is seeking a temporary Rehab Services Associate to work 5 hours per week. This position is primarily responsible for providing services to the blind and visually impaired community through agency initiatives including classroom instruction, community outreach, and agency services. Essential Functions:
- Instruct and manage classes for the blind and visually impaired community with the goal of empowering and furthering the independence of the attendees
- Promote the agency's mission and values to the Western New York Community through community engagements and special events
- Develop an understanding of assistive technology solutions and maintain a focus on achieving accessibility for people who are blind and visually impaired
- Assist the Rehab department in special projects to greater its impact on key stakeholders
- Perform necessary administrative and clerical work for Rehab initiatives the position is involved in

Qualifications:Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Background in nonprofit sector and/or working with the blind and visually impaired community preferred
