Position Overview

HighVista is seeking to hire a Relationship Management Analyst focused on the firm's new business development activities. The ideal candidate is a team player with experience working in a fast-paced environment, someone who is intellectually curious, collaborative, highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities. He/she will assist the team in many varied day-to-day aspects of new business development and investor relations including but not limited to:

  • Meeting coordination and preparation
  • Investor requests and questionnaires
  • Prospect mapping and pipeline management
  • Oversight of the firm's Client Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Responsibilities

  • Provide standard and custom materials by request
  • Prepare for upcoming meetings and calls with consultants and prospective clients of the firm
  • Coordinate internal prep meetings, and liaise with attendees for materials and logistics
  • Compile biographies and prospect profiles, past meeting notes, and research on the prospect/consultant
  • Manage information within the CRM system (Backstop)
  • Ongoing maintenance of CRM system to ensure all meetings, calls, and important correspondence are captured in the CRM system on a timely basis
  • Maintenance of investor pipelines, distribution lists, and contact information in CRM system
  • Conduct background research on prospects and products utilizing databases, monitor industry news sources, and work with the team to market map and coordinate outreach to prospective clients.
  • Manage RFPs and due diligence requests including populating initial responses, delegating questions to subject matter experts, proofreading content, preparing appendices and relevant data, and facilitating completion
  • Coordinate event and conference preparation (i.e., registration, venue, HighVista attendees, seating charts, research on attendees, materials, etc.)
  • Maintain appropriate business development third-party subscriptions and liaise with vendor contacts, as needed
  • Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-4 years of experience in a similar role within the investment management industry
  • Candidate must be able to work in the Boston office Monday through Thursday, but currently has the option to work from home on Friday
  • Intellectually curious and demonstrated interest in the investment management industry
  • Strong project management skillset and highly detail-oriented
  • Team player with proven ability to collaborate across functions
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities as they evolve
  • Self-starter who takes initiative
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly PowerPoint and Excel). Knowledge of Backstop or other CRM system is a plus
