Overview:
Our client is seeking a Relationship Manager to play a pivotal role within their team, dedicated to providing high-quality client support and financial management services. This position is responsible for overseeing client portfolios, executing financial planning initiatives, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations to meet the unique needs of high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients. As a key liaison between clients and their broader financial team, the Relationship Manager will manage investment activities, assist in preparing personalized financial plans, and facilitate ongoing client communications, all while supporting a culture of proactive and personalized client service. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily client portfolio activities and financial planning support, handling client data updates, budget creation, and preparing comprehensive financial plans for high-net-worth clients. Contribute to team efforts by assisting with the preparation and delivery of in-depth financial strategies.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, prepare essential deliverables, and support financial reporting. Handle operational requests, including account openings, wire transfers, journal entries, and charitable contributions, as well as other custodian-specific tasks.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc performance reports for accuracy, formatting, and timeliness, ensuring alternative investments are accurately reflected and aligned with clients' strategic goals.
- Collaborate with the team to test, develop, and implement improvements to asset allocation and financial planning tools, aiming for process automation where applicable.
- Deliver tailored investment reports on select clients, oversee ongoing investment monitoring services, and conduct annual rebalancing reviews to maintain alignment with client objectives.
- Prepare agendas and materials for client meetings, presenting findings, following up on action items, and establishing rapport with clients' third-party advisors, including CPAs, estate planning attorneys, and other consultants.
Skills and Requirements:
- 2-4+ years of client service experience in settings such as family offices, wealth management boutiques, with hands-on experience in trade execution for fixed income securities, mutual funds, ETFs, equities, etc.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and the ability to engage clients on macroeconomic trends and market fluctuations. Proactive in anticipating client needs and effectively addressing them.
- Financial planning experience, preferably with high-net-worth clients, and familiarity with family entity structures, such as trusts, wills, etc.
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent analytical abilities, who can work independently and thrive as part of a client-centered team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with reliable organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities and meet client expectations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management, along with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Progress toward a CFP designation or a Series 63 / Series 65 is preferred, or a desire to obtain in the future
- Experience with systems / tools such as Addepar and Salesforce are helpful, but not required.
