The Relationship Manager is Gateway's primary liaison for clients, advisors, and strategic partners. This role focuses on identifying client needs, delivering tailored insurance solutions, and supporting business initiatives. By collaborating with the executive team, the Relationship Manager drives key initiatives, including lead generation, strategic account management, and product innovation, while providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
This is a salaried role, $75k-$90k plus potential for bonuses.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with partners and advisors, enhancing client and business partnerships.
• Oversees case management and workflow, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in internal reporting systems.
• Develops and executes strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Generates illustrations and proposals for client life insurance solutions and stress tests for competitiveness and long-term suitability.
• Manages client and advisor data within the CRM for streamlined information tracking.
• Delivers new business updates and strategic insights to the executive team.
• Collaborates closely with the Director of Underwriting to optimize application and underwriting process.
• Conducts due diligence on insurance carriers and products, supporting informed product selection.
• Engages in ongoing professional development through training programs and industry events, focusing on UHNW solutions.
• Actively participates in M Financial webinars, meetings and other required programs.
• Communicates Gateway's offerings clearly to financial professionals, promoting alignment with company goals.
• Manages multiple projects, coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Provides executive support through travel and assigned duties.
• Manages sensitive documents and confidential information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines with discretion, diplomacy, and integrity.
• Participates in special projects, solely or as a team member.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, mathematics, actuarial science, accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Five years' experience in the life insurance industry or related marketplace preferred.
• Must hold current insurance licenses, including Series 6, Series 63, Agent Life, and Health & Disability.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Zoom, Salesforce, and other relevant software.
• Advanced knowledge of marketing concepts and insurance and financial products.
• Experienced in directly communicating with sophisticated clients and industry professionals.
SKILLS:
• Highly organized, proactive, and efficient in managing multiple priorities, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering seamless service in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to management, clients, and key partners, ensuring effective communication.
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to evolving priorities, with a commitment to managing responsibilities beyond regular business hours as needed.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and industry regulations.
• Proficient in financial modeling and life insurance illustration software, leveraging productivity applications to provide informed, tailored recommendations.
• Proven skill in client relationship management, effectively addressing client needs through a consultative approach that cultivates long-term trust and loyalty.
• Skilled in analyzing financial data and risk profiles to develop strategic recommendations, as well as negotiating favorable policy terms.
• Experienced in managing databases, spreadsheets, and documentation, with a commitment to maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and the highest ethical standards.
• Dedicated to continuous professional development, staying current with industry trends and best practices to consistently enhance client satisfaction and service delivery.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the resilience to perform well under pressure.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
