Key Result areas are Equipment Reliability, Casting Process, Project Performance, Budget. Originates and develops analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes. Acquires data and analyzes the data. Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, instructions, and reports for defining reliability problems and investigates to determine the reliability required for a particular situation considering the cost limitations for equipment up/down time, repair/replacement costs, and availability of materials/equipment. Determines the cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment to avoid failures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as day-to-day liaison between operations, maintenance, and other support departments.
- Plan, analyze, design, specify, prepare estimates, and gather other required information for casting processing and automation projects in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
- Review current and potential casting processing equipment and automation suppliers to evaluate application to castings and customer requirements at the plant.
- Ability to diagnose electrical, PLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc through trouble shooting.
- Analyzing equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends.
- Conducting root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of problems.
- Designing and implementing new procedures for monitoring and testing equipment.
- Developing and implementing new maintenance procedures.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure that reliability is integrated.
- Developing and implementing new procedures and processes.

Education
- Bachelor of Engineering | CMRP Certification a plus but not required.
