Job DescriptionThe Reliability and Maintenance Manager is a key part of the plant leadership team responsible for all aspects of current and future reliability and maintenance (R&M) needs. The role owns the development, implementation, and coordination of required technical and personnel activities to fulfill those needs. A high degree of comfort engaging directly and often with individuals at all levels within the organization is required. The right person will effectively source and utilize all resources to lead continuous improvement within all maintenance and reliability processes. Budget and supervision responsibility for the asset reliability function, share/central maintenance functions and maintenance support groups. Coordinates with Corporate, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Stores, and Suppliers.What You'll Be Responsible For: Deliver safe and reliable equipment performance which meets or exceeds regulatory requirements. Optimize asset availability to operate at the designed quality and production standards. Responsible for leading the total maintenance and reliability effort at the Site with direct supervisory responsibility for R&M process, shared/central maintenance, and maintenance support group at the site. Accountable for administering all site maintenance shop(s) policies and practices related to employees Continually review and recommend changes to upgrade or revise facilities, equipment, or processes to maximize return on investment. Cooperate and coordinate with other department leaders to ensure efficient and effective maintenance efforts. Maintain open communications channels. Participate in R&M assessments and manage internal R&M assessments to evaluate R&M practice effectiveness and develop improvement plans. Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, reliability personnel and suppliers to ensure the reliability of equipment on all existing and new assets. Conduct routine safety and R&M activities including inspections, audits, visibility tours, and interact with employees and contractors. Champion the use of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques and other R&M tools to maximize equipment life and performance. Manage the Failure Analysis (RCA) process for maintenance issues. Identification and execution of skill development needs for site reliability and maintenance personnel and contractors to support R&M, maintenance, and safety. Manage and develop Reliability and Maintenance personnel by establishing career goals, provide coaching, and measure performance. Lead annual action planning processes for R&M. Implement culture change for continuous improvement in service and cost, change personnel assessment culture, introduce resource planning concept, identify, and eliminate non-value-added tasks. Create a rewarding and innovative environment that motivates people to use their talents and energies to the full (develop employees for acceptance of empowerment and career advancement). Initiative-taking member of site leadership team to develop plans and obtain support to achieve World Class performance using Bonnell Aluminum Raising the BAR Reliability and Maintainability Processes. Develop direct reports through performance management, coaching, and stretch assignments Willingness to be on-call as needed to include being on site for specific operations/situations Ability to travel as needed What You'll Need to Have: Bachelor of Science degree or relevant technical degree is required. Bachelor of Science in engineering is preferred. 10 years in a maintenance-related field is required. Previous reliability or maintenance management experience of a large manufacturing site is preferred. 5 years of supervisory and budgetary experience is required.
