Our client is excited to announce an opening for a Reliability Technician, ideal for military veterans who possess a strong technical background and a commitment to safety. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliable operation of production facilities across locations such as Ashtabula, OH and Canton, OH. You will work closely with the Reliability Center Superintendent and the USIG Reliability team to meet strategic and tactical reliability goals. If you have experience in mechanical systems and a passion for optimizing operations, this position is perfect for you.As a Reliability Technician, your primary focus will be on executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, as well as corrective maintenance solutions for a variety of mechanical systems, including compressors, pumps, turbines, and piping systems. You will plan, schedule, and perform major equipment installations and inspections while providing on-site or remote technical support to various facilities. Your ability to diagnose chronic mechanical issues and drive resolutions with urgency will be key to maintaining operational efficiency. Additionally, you'll be expected to conduct root cause analysis for significant failures, ensuring that lessons learned are incorporated into future operations.They are looking for candidates with a minimum of five years of experience in the maintenance of mechanical and rotating systems within an industrial environment. Your proven expertise in installation, troubleshooting, and repairs of complex equipment will be invaluable. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to managing tasks are essential. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems and precision measuring devices will further enhance your effectiveness in this role. An associate's degree in mechanical engineering technology and experience with vibration analysis or dynamic balancing are preferred qualifications.This position involves both office and fieldwork, requiring approximately 30% domestic travel and accessibility during off-hours. You will need to be comfortable working in various weather conditions and accessing elevated equipment.In return for your dedication, we offer a base salary, $85 - $100K, with overtime.
