Technician Job DescriptionAs a lab technician, you will be responsible for setting up test equipment and fixtures, performing data collection, and analysis reporting. The test lab is a fast-paced, hands-on work environment where technicians are expected to be self-motivated and able to multitask. Some of the tests may be repetitive in nature, but reliable and consistent data reporting is required to ensure test integrity.Key Qualifications• Exceptional attention to detail that can translate into excellent written and verbal communication skills• Has an understanding of physics and electronics• Is capable of utilizing creativity, common sense, and technical skills to solve complex problems• Has experience using common handheld and bench top electronic tools such as multimeters and power supplies• Ability to handle multiple projects at once and manage multiple deadlines• Familiarity with MacOS and iOSResponsibilities• Works from existing documentation to perform mechanical and environmental Reliability tests• Independently completes experiments and uses creative and innovative thinking to resolve problems• Captures and presents data in clear, regular updates to engineers• Operates and fixtures mechanical and electronic equipment in a lab environmentEducationBachelor of Arts or Science, or two years equivalent experience is preferred; knowledgeable in test engineering fundamentals
