Responsibilities:
- Cover time off for the Production Shift Supervisors.
- Investigate and identify production issues, make operational decisions, and take corrective actions.
- Provide field supervision and coordination for the shift; ensuring proper risk assessment, LOTOTO, and all other safety measures are followed.
- Ensure consistent production of all cement, clinker, raw mix, and solid fuels within established quality guidelines, ensuring appropriate actions and communications for any deviations.
- Ensure plant equipment is operated in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Communicate significant issues to the appropriate department(s) and the Production Coordinator as necessary when unexpected events occur.
- Conduct process line inspections. Complete regulatory forms and correct any defects.
- Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company Policies.
- Maintain accurate shift logs for all plant activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience.
- 7 years of cement or similar plant experience.
