Develop community relationships and employment/intern opportunities for youthEngage youth in job fairs and career building eventsMaintain up to date documentation of all services provided, including group notes and attendanceProvide vocational instruction for building computers skills, reading, writing, and math skillsAssist youth in GED preparationDevelop regularly scheduled-groups, workshops, seminars, and outings for youthIncrease the number of on-site activities for youth 'dropping-in Increase volunteer participation and mentoring opportunitiesRepresent Independence Inn Brooklyn Drop-In Center at appropriate community and program related forums, as assigned by supervisor.Develop method of tracking youth participation, in conjunction with supervisorEnsure that all grant deliverables with come under the purview of the position are metAs well as other relevant duties as delegated by supervisorSCO Family of Services is an equal employment opportunity employerQualifications - ExternalQUALIFICATIONSKnowledge and understanding of at risk youth population requiredBi-lingual preferredHigh School, BA/BS degree preferredFlexibility in schedule requiredDriver's license preferredWORKING CONDITIONSMust be able to work effectively and efficiently within a demanding work environment
