At First American, we provide our teams with the support, tools, and technology that they need to ensure that providing unparalleled customer service is your primary focus.We are looking to add a Construction Disbursement Officer (National) to our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration of commercial construction transactions. Administration includes receiving, tracking, and processing construction draws, as well as maintaining compliance with the specific requirements of each project.This is a remote role but must be open to working hours in CST or EST time zone.What You'll Do:Monitor a high-volume portfolio of disbursing and draw review projects, ensuring timely and effective processing of construction disbursing transactions and construction draws.Review, negotiate, and comply with the terms of each project's disbursing agreement.Work cross-functionally with underwriters, lenders, project managers, accountants, contractors, owners, and other project parties to review and resolve issues and questions regarding the draw process and draw documentation.Order title updates and date down endorsements, submit requests for funds, and set up and review pending payments for checks and wires to be issued.Review draw packages inclusive of budgets, AIA Pay Applications, sworn statements, and lien waivers to mitigate the lien risk associated with the potential lien claimants on a project.Manage files and associated documents in a consistent and organized manner (i.e. maintaining construction disbursing and review documentation and other information into the appropriate company system).Review monthly reports including trial balances and outstanding check logs and resolve any open items.Follow processes and procedures in daily activities, troubleshoot as needed, and recommend solutions for continuous improvements to overall operations.Comply with regulatory requirements by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to requirements.What You'll Bring:2-4 years of escrow related experience, preferably as a Commercial Escrow Officer servicing regional or national transactions.Passion for assisting customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.Excellent verbal and written communication with both internal and external customers.Ability to build new relationships as well as maintain existing customer relationships.Hands-on experience with working knowledge of construction payment documentation, including but not limited to: AIA billing, budgets, sworn statements, and lien waivers.Problem solving with strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and knows how to navigate internal and external resources to resolve issues.Adaptability to work with technology and proprietary programs; quickly adopting new software applications and technologies.Thrives in contributing to a team, working together to achieve goals and objectives while being able to work independently on an assigned project portfolio.Bachelor's degree or 5+ years relevant experience required.Pay Range: $27.40-$36.53 Hourly. This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
