Start Date: October 1st, 2024Pay Rate: $17.20/hourREMOTEWe have an opening for a professional Customer Service Representative to answer incoming calls from a que of hospitals, doctors, and clinics to answer any questions about patient Medicare coverage. In this role you will help ensure information regarding prior authorizations, coverage, claim payment information, and debt recovery questions are answered accurately and timely.Responsibilities:
- Handle Inbound Calls: Answer incoming calls from healthcare providers regarding Medicare coverage, eligibility, claims, and benefits.
- Provide Accurate Information: Deliver clear and accurate information about Medicare policies, procedures, and coverage options to providers.
- Issue Resolution: Assist providers in resolving issues related to Medicare claims, billing, and coverage disputes.
- Documentation: Accurately document all interactions and transactions in the customer service database, ensuring detailed and precise records.
- Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve provider concerns efficiently and effectively, escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance in all activities.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on changes to Medicare regulations, policies, and procedures through ongoing training and professional development.
- Collaborate: Work closely with other departments, including billing, claims processing, and compliance, to provide comprehensive support to providers.
- Customer Service Excellence: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, ensuring a positive experience for all providers.
Requirements
- 1-2+ years experience in healthcare, insurance, or compliance preferred
- Ability to answer calls in a call que for your shift
- Familiarity working with electronic records and verification systems
- Ability to process high volumes of calls
- Effective communication skills - verbal and written
- Practical judgment in decision making and balancing multiple priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
