Insight Global is seeking a DevOps/Data Engineer to work fully remote, with availability for the east coast time zone. In this role, you will design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Groovy to automate build, test, and deployment processes. You will manage cloud infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and maintenance across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Additionally, you will develop and maintain data processing workflows within Databricks using Apache Spark with Python. Key responsibilities include: - Collaboration with software developers and data scientists is essential to integrate data solutions into production environments. -Regular monitoring of system performance is required to ensure reliability and scalability, along with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the CI/CD pipeline or cloud environment. - Implementing best practices for security compliance within the cloud infrastructure is also a key responsibility. - Write maintainable code in Python for ETL processes as needed and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards. - Staying updated with emerging technologies in DevOps methodologies, big data solutions, and cloud services is crucial for potential adoption. Required Skills & Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 3 years experience as a DevOps engineer or similar role with a focus on data engineering tasks. Proficient in Groovy scripting language for Jenkins pipeline development. Strong experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or equivalent systems. Extensive knowledge of at least one major cloud service provider (AWS/Azure/GCP). Hands-on experience with Databricks platform management including job scheduling and cluster optimization. Expertise in Python programming specifically for ETL processes and automation tasks. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes is desirable.
