Job Title: Remote Administrative AssistantJob DescriptionThis is a temporary position for the App Assist department focused on scheduling and conducting interviews with applicants. This role involves obtaining personal and medical information to meet or exceed standards and ensuring accurate processing and approval of all life insurance policy contracts.
Responsibilities- Conduct professional, courteous, and articulate interviews and follow-up calls with proposed insureds to obtain all pertinent personal and medical information.
- Review documents, notes, and correspondence for additional or anecdotal information.
- Accurately enter data related to the application into the Application Interview System (AIS) and Assistant Underwriting System (AURA) to document case activity and other relevant information.
- Provide accurate, prompt, and professional service to all inquiries received by phone or in writing while maintaining departmental standards and time service standards.
- Correspond effectively using proper grammar and spelling within the department, underwriting staff, vendors, and other departments to assist in resolving problems, expedite business, and escalate for further handling.
- Effectively communicate AppAssist policies, procedures, and guidelines to internal and external customers.
Essential Skills- 3+ years of Customer Service experience (Call Center preferred)
- Solid medical vocabulary and comfort with medical terminology
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Work EnvironmentThis position offers fully remote work shifts: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM, 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM, and 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM. Initial training will be conducted remotely for the first week from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with an alternative training time of 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM if needed. Candidates must have a private office space and be able to plug their computer into a router (no wireless).
