Job Description:

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Mentor with a minimum of 10 years of experience to develop and guide our procurement and contracts (acquisition) strategy. This is a Part-time and Remote position. The successful candidate will play a key role in mentoring our team, ensuring effective knowledge transfer, and providing policy guidance. You will offer expertise in negotiation tactics, contract terms, and modifications to support our procurement operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement/contracts (acquisition) strategy

+ Train and mentor the team, focusing on skill development and knowledge transfer

+ Provide policy guidance on procurement and contract management processes

+ Advise on negotiation strategies, contract terms, and modifications

+ Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with procurement objectives and best practices.

General Requirements:

+ Minimum of 10+ years of experience in procurement, contracts management, or a related field.

+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.

+ Strong understanding of procurement policies, contract negotiation, and management.

+ Strong knowledge of federal procurement regulations and compliance requirements.

+ Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
