Mercy Home health in Springfield, PA is seeking a remote local Referral Support Specialist.

**About the Position:**

The RSS role will support the Home Care Coordinator (hospital- based liaison) with referral entry and referral insurance verification. This role acts as data entry field support, located on site at a designated Trinity Regional Health Ministry (RHM) hospital. Will be responsible for accepting, importing and entering referrals from our RHMs into Home Care HomeBase. This role is also responsible for the insurance verification and authorization for certain payers.

**Must be available to work a weekend rotation every other weekend & 2 holidays annually** .

**Opportunity to work from home. Must have reliable internet.**** It is work from home position, but could always change in the future.** **Must be local to be able to come to office in Springfield, PA. for training.**

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ High School diploma required with equivalent 2-4 years industry experience; Associate's Degree preferred

+ 2-3 years home care, hospice, discharge planning, or case management experience preferred

+ Working knowledge of governmental reimbursement criteria, knowledge of third party/managed care contracts related to Trinity Health At Home services preferred

+ Microsoft computer skill set required; experience with Trinity Health At Home software platforms and applications preferred

+ Working knowledge of standard office equipment and remote technology required

+ Experience multi-tasking on multiple computer systems..

+ Must have valid Driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work site.

+ Experience in working with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, OneNote
