- Coordinate timing of planning, fieldwork, and review with engagement team and client.
- Establish with the engagement manager the responsibilities of individual staff for specific areas of engagement.
- Assist in developing the engagement budget and identifying appropriate resources.
- Monitor and report engagement budget to actual and advise partner and manager of possible overruns.
- Communicate progress and issues to partners and clients.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize internal and external research tools and select methodology for routine research requests.
- Research complex areas of accounting, form an initial opinion on the correct treatment independently, and consider and document the impact on the client and engagement
- Apply critical thinking to complex issues.
- Review and assess internal controls.
Leadership:
- Lead and oversee assurance engagements, from planning to reporting.
- Supervise a team of staff ranging in size from 1 to 5.
Client Relations:
- Cultivate strong client relationships through effective communication.
- Address client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Identify opportunities for providing additional services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on audit and assurance services.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards (e.g., Generally Accepted Auditing Standards) and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficiency in audit software, accounting software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong project management and time management skills
