Job Description:

We are looking for a full time REMOTE Student Learner Services Advisor (Student Support Customer Service role) in the healthcare education field. This is an entry level role with training provided, but ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of outbound call center experience, enjoys helping and encouraging others, is very empathic and compassionate, and has interest in assisting others college with over the phone support.

Start Date: Monday, October 21, 2024

Shift : Sunday–Thursday each week (will always have Friday-Saturday off)

  • Sun 12pm-7pm EST / 11am-6pm CST
  • Mon 9am-6:30pm EST / 8am-5:30am CST
  • Tues 9am-6:30pm EST / 8am-5:30am CST
  • Wed 9am-6:30pm EST / 8am-5:30am CST
  • Thurs 12pm-9pm EST / 11am-6pm CST

Starting Pay: $19/hour + automatic annual raises

Location: Fully Remote/Virtual, but must reside in FLORIDA

Job Summary:

This is fully remote call center like job. The Student Support/Learner Services Advisor provides assistance to students in their development and ongoing achievement of education goals. The LSA will work very closely with students who are at risk of not graduating to motivate them to persist and provide them with all the resources they need to graduate. They will contact students on a regular basis to build and maintain a relationship and serves as the student's advisor and first point of contact to ensure questions are answered and concerns are resolved. Assist students with questions related to course navigation, academic policies, course expectations, technical assistance, and other student support services. They will be making anywhere from 80-100 outbound calls a day through an auto dialer systems where their calls are recorded for training purposes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to start October 21, 2024, be comfortable with the schedule listed above, and with $19/hour starting pay
  • Must not have any planned time off for all first 4 weeks - all of October AND November (exception of Thanksgiving holiday)
  • 1-3 years of call center customer service experience – must be comfortable making up to 100 outbound calls daily
  • Personality is big! This is a role where they will need to be patience, calm, empathetic, and motivating
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic business technology and web-based tools.
  • Must be a resident of Florida, Georgia, or Texas
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Willingness to work in a high powered, dynamic, energetic call center-like environment
  • Must be able to work independently from home with limited distractions or background noise
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
