Description Position at JBS USA BOILER MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR JBS SOUDERTON, PENNSYLVANIA Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall safety including but not limited to boiler equipment operators, boiler equipment daily operations, maintenance & modification projects.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the operation of steam producing equipment.
- Serve as the Point of Contact for regulators.
- Operate the boiler system in an economically efficient manner.
- Operate the boiler system in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Serve as the leader for the boiler operators including but not limited to staff development, training, performance review, scheduling, time sheet review, time off management etc.
- Develop and maintain an operating budget including labor, repair & maintenance, other operating, and capital projects.
- Manage contractors including but not limited to establishing scope of work, safety planning, monitoring work, invoicing review, etc.
Qualifications Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical/Professional Training in Boiler Operations
- The ability to estimate project cost.
- Electrical generation and distribution experience/knowledge.

- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communication in the English language.
- Ability to make decisions in a variable environment.
- Ability to communicate with all other terminal departments.
- Ability to oversee and direct construction disciplines.
- Ability to communicate effectively across many different disciplines.
- A working knowledge of pumps, valves, piping etc.
- A working knowledge of API and ANSI, ASME and NFPA standards.
- Interpret wiring/piping diagrams.
