Hillcrest Health Services provides an amazing opportunity for those looking to jump back into healthcare! We are offering the chance to select candidates with a strong interest in enhancing the lives of aging adults to reactivate your lapsed/inactive CNA certification for free. This program requires at least a six-month employment commitment working full-time or part-time at one of Hillcrest's skilled nursing facilities after completion of the CNA recertification. Due to state requirements, we can allow you to work in a restricted position immediately following completion of the recertification until your license is showing active on the DHHS registry. What should I have to be considered for this program?
- A clear background screen.
- Must be willing to work at least 20 hours a week.
- Reliable transportation.
- Compassion and dedication to care for others.
- A lapsed or inactive CNA license in the state of Nebraska.
The CNA recertification is completed through our partner, Quality Career Pathways. They offer two different renewal options:
- Re-test - this offers you a chance to retake your skills and written exams. (Best option for those who recently lapsed/worked as a CNA less than a year ago).
- Refresher course - this offers you the ability to take a 3-hour class followed by retaking your skills and written exams. (Best option for those who have been lapsed for a year or more).
