The Renewable Energy Operations Coordinator is responsible for monitoring the status of all solar plant systems on a continuous, 24/7, basis. The role involves ensuring safe operations, superior customer service, and regulatory compliance through uninterrupted monitoring of assets, taking appropriate corrective actions as needed and executing plant procedures as required.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to shift rotation, including weekends, nights, and holiday shifts.
- Monitor generation facilities for safety compliance and electrical system procedures.
- Address faults, alarms, or anomalies and communicate these conditions promptly to management.
- Interact with transmission operators and balancing authorities for safe operation of the BES.
- Prepare power plant performance reports.
- Follow established procedures under general direction and minimum supervision.
- Perform emergency operations to maintain service and safeguard station equipment.
- Accurately report and document all shift events.
- Conduct basic analytics tasks as required.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety practices and procedures.
- Additional duties related to control room operations as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
- Exemplary integrity and a strong interest in renewable energy.
- Time management, attention to detail, and ability to work proactively without direct supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Moderate computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Excel.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of prior Control Room experience in the Energy Industry.
- Availability for weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Schedule:
- 12-hour modified Dupont schedule (5-week cycle).
- Day and night shifts.
