Job Description:

DEA's Energy Business Unit is currently hiring for multiple experienced Renewable Energy Project Managers to lead the execution of utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS projects throughout the central, southwest, and western United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of renewable energy projects, developing and leading multi-disciplinary project teams, and managing and developing client relationships in the renewable energy industry all while maintaining/growing technical knowledge of renewable systems. These positions include growth opportunities for professional advancement, leadership, and increased responsibility.The location for these remote/hybrid-friendly positions is flexible with a preference for individuals who are based near one of DEA's offices in California, Colorado, Idaho, Texas, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington.Project Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Exemplify DEA's Cultural Drivers internally and externallyProvide leadership and mentoring to project teamsDevelop the project understanding, approach, and work planSupport proposal efforts for new projectsManage the scope of services, schedule, and budget including project setup, execution, change management, and closeoutManage communications among the project team and clientManage multiple projects at any given timeProvide technical expertise during project meetings and to team membersProvide technical guidance to clients during development or preconstructionPromote effective team working relationshipsAttain or exceed project profitability expectationsMaintain the technical quality of the workImplement the project QA/QC planManage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each projectAdhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting, workload planning, revenue forecasting, contracting, and quality requirementsSome travel for business development and project execution may be requiredBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in civil/electrical engineering OR 10+ years professional experience in the power delivery or renewable energyProfessional Engineer license (PE)Five (5) + years of applicable industry experienceHighly Technical understanding of substation, transmission, and collection system design, construction, and commissioningThorough knowledge of and how to use SEL AcSELarator Quickset/RTAC, GE Enervista, eTAP, Easypower, CDEGS, Bluebeam Revu, GE PSLF, Siemens PSS/E, PASCAD, CYMCAPDemonstrated proficiency with project management processes and tools including CPM scheduling, budget analysis and controls, change management, and team managementProficient with Microsoft OfficeStrong leadership, written and oral communication, and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications:Three (3) + years of project management experienceProject Management Professional Certification (PMP)Experience negotiating contracts for professional servicesExperience delivering professional services for renewable energy owners, developers, or contractorsExperience with ISO interconnection processExperience with AHJ permitting processBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life InsuranceHealth Savings and Lifestyle Spending Account with employer contributionSupport for continuing education and training opportunitiesPaid Time Off (PTO)/Holiday Pay401k and Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)Ownership opportunities afforded by working at an employee-owned companyFlexible 9/80 (every other Friday off) work scheduleHolistic Wellbeing Program with a focus on physical, emotional, financial, career and community healthOpportunity for growth with support and mentoring to help with professional goalsAbility to work in a hybrid in-office/remote work settingPotential salary range depending on experience and location is $125,000-$185,000Energy Jobs with DEA:David Evans and Associates, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm with offices throughout the United States.
