Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Job Summary: The Renovation Craftsman constructs rated walls or partitions using drywall or prefabricated material. This role installs window or doorframes in drywall or masonry walls and installs ceiling grid and acoustical tile using laser and other types of leveling equipment.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: A valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Report that meets SFHS guidelines.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Uses and understands blueprints, drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions. Basic computer knowledge and skills. Demonstrated ability for the proper use of power and hand tools used for demolition and reconstruction projects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Constructs rated walls or partitions using drywall or prefabricated material. Installs window or doorframes in drywall or masonry walls. Installs ceiling grid and acoustical tile using laser and other types of leveling equipment. Uses and understands blueprints, drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions. Recommends to supervisor the method, material, and time necessary to accomplish the task. Demonstrates the proper use of power and hand tools used for demolition and reconstruction projects. Installs fire stopping material and doors in fire and smoke-rated walls and partitions.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.
Working Relationships: Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
