Job Description:
White Star Machinery sells and rents new and used Bobcat compact construction equipment. Our dealership also provides parts, in house service and field service for all of your equipment needs.White Star Machinery is seeking a Rental Manager.   • Ability to lead the Rental Department and manage team of employees.
  • Handle all rental needs and inquiries to include walk ins, phone calls, and emails.
  • Generate new customers leads, including occasional cold calling.
  • Open, close, and manage all rental contracts.
  • Review, process, and understand regularly scheduled reports that affect inventory and departmental needs.
  • Maintain management's guidelines on availability and gross profit.
  • Handle the proper documentation for all equipment leaving and returning from rental.
  • Maintain the rental, rental purchase, and demo/loaner files.
  • Responsible for all rental equipment inventory assigned to the branch, including maintenance and condition.
  • Arrange all transportation for equipment deliveries and store transfers.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Occasionally preparing equipment which includes: washing, greasing, checking fluid levels, checking for proper operation, filling out documentation on computer and paperwork, doing minor repairs.
  • Occasionally loading and unloading equipment which includes: proper instructions on basic operation, checking for damage on returns, documentation on condition, loading and unloading on trucks and trailers.
  • Always operate in and maintain a safe work environment; obey safety rules and wear required safety PPE.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Positive outlook and excellent communication
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excel in a high volume fast paced environment.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Good computer and systems knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies.
  • Experience with construction or ag equipment preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing is preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds.
  • Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and around fumes & loud noise.
  • Physically able to operate construction equipment and forklifts.
  • Physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines including a computer, printer, facsimile machine, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc. on a repetitive basis.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and lift.
