Job Summary:

Cisco Equipment desires to fill a rental management position where the individual would be responsible for managing rental customers, equipment, contracts along with all aspects of controlling and reviewing equipment utilization and costs associated with the rental department. This position is key to the success of the organization.
Scope & Responsibilities:
* Plan, develop and control the rental and contract maintenance activities of Cisco Equipment to meet its targeted rental and contract maintenance revenue goals within budget guidelines.
* Maintain an awareness of market conditions, trends of this company's customer base changes, and other information pertinent to the success of its rental and contract maintenance programs.
* Hire and terminate all persons reporting to this position.
* Delegate the performance of specific groups of duties related to the functioning of the department with the full understanding that the responsibility for the results and the manner in which they were achieved lie solely with this position.
* Working daily at renting company products and contracting support services to existing and new customers in accordance with the policies of the company to achieve targeted revenue goals including taking incoming calls from customers and completing rental or contract maintenance agreements.
* Working with the President, General Manager and rental staff in the development of detailed strategies and action plans by which to achieve the goals of the annual and three-to-five-year rental and contract maintenance services plans including time frames, areas of responsibility for each step; recording an following up with all assignments and deadlines to assure attainment.
* Assuring consistent reporting of departmental activities such as rental and maintenance sales summaries, persons/companies contacted, ratio of sales/leases/contracts to calls and similar measures of productivity.
* Assisting with market analyses, customer reviews, product evaluations on an ongoing basis at the direction of the President or General Manager to help assure the viability of this department of the company over the long-term staying abreast of technological advances and competition in the company's chosen market, being prepared to offer alternatives for shrinking revenues in specific areas.
* Creating and maintaining a work environment that encourages personnel to perform to their best ability; rewarding exceptional performance and penalizing failure to perform to expectation to preserve the understanding that effort without measurable results is not acceptable.
* Providing with the Service Manager a priority listing of equipment that needs maintenance or repair to fulfill customer and company needs economically, effectively and to meet a preset time schedule; allowing the Service Manager to supervise the rental mechanic while monitoring the attainment of the schedule.
* Demonstrating good judgment and reasoning in investigating and solving problems including those with customers, personnel, and the company.
* Seeking guidance and direction in the performance of responsibilities and duties.
* Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
* Personal skills must include excellent organization, short- and long-range planning, relating and communicating well with a variety of personalities and styles comfortably, and superior capacity to explain detailed arrangements to both business novices and experienced rental costumers. This individual must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, locate customers and discover their requirements, use common sense in approaching customers, stay abreast of the economic and technical changes in the area and in customers' operations, motivate others to perform to their best ability, project credibility, integrity, and commitment to the company.
* Must be able to do routine arithmetic calculations, prepare relatively complex financing calculations, prepare and understand carious statistical reports, read and understand financial reports, rental reports, and budgets.
* Must be able to communicate in the language(s) in use in the area where doing business both verbally and in writing well enough to converse, create, and promote the company image thought exercising of sound, ethical business practices as related to customers, personnel and the business community.
Education & Experience:
* High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree or higher in business management, marketing, and sales, accounting, engineering or an allied discipline from an accredited college or university preferred.
* Five or more years' experience in this field or a similar firm with knowledge of heavy construction/farm equipment plus some managerial experience.
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods standing, squatting, bending, or sitting.
* Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
* Must be able to pass a WorkSteps exam (fit for duty)
* Must be able to pass a drug test and physical.
