Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious individual to join our editorial team based in New York. This role is about reporting and writing stories that matter for the investment advisory community. Reporting to the Citywire RIA Editor, stories will be published online and via a daily newsletter that reaches thousands of advisors and their peers. The role entails developing deep source relationships to generate breaking news and compelling features.

The topics you will cover include high-level wealth management trends, M&A, technology changes, hirings and firings, investment strategies, and regulatory news. Success is defined by writing unique, timely, and relevant stories, and will require an enterprising attitude.

What you ll be doing:

-Writing daily news stories about, and relevant to, investment advisors.

-Building contacts and establishing sources among the independent financial advice community to break exclusive news.

-Researching and (when possible) travelling to get the inside track on the world of wealth.

What we re looking for:

-Experience or industry-specific training as a reporter.

-Excellent writing skills and the ability to write cleanly, and quickly.

-Strong source development skills.

-An understanding of the wealth management industry or financial markets.
