Status: Hourly/Non-exempt

Location: 10 Benton Place, Sodus NY 14551.

Shift/Hours: Full-time, based on business needs. Business hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

General Summary:

Reliant Credit union, ranked one of Rochester's top mid-sized workplaces seven years in a row, seeks an Reporting Analyst to join our team.

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for data retrieval, design, generation and analysis of transactional and financial reporting to help drive critical business decisions related to the credit union's financials and established key goals.

As a Reporting Analyst at Reliant, you will:

  • Integrates and prepares large, varied data sets from internal databases to communicate results to management by creating summary reports, including graphs and charts for monthly, quarterly and annual distribution.
  • Analyzes data sets to identify trends that may impact the organization, patterns and anomalies to provide insights to assist management in strategic decisions.
  • Utilizes standard reporting tools to write, maintain and support a variety of reports and queries. Identifies and creates reports for a wide variety of business needs, using graphs, charts, and systems to visualize data.
  • Ensures the accuracy and integrity of reports by validating data throughout the analysis process to provide high quality metrics that guide Reliant's decision making and improve performance.
  • Maintains data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data to validate against controls. SQL queries, and reports that allow the financial systems to integrate with others and manage data within the various database systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Possesses working knowledge of credit union programs and services. General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow.
  • Strong personal computer skills, with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management (familiarity with Microsoft Office suite required).
  • Ability to use SQL and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts.
  • Advanced report modification/writing/querying experience and understanding of the data flow process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively relate data and present information to groups of various size.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and compliance. Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results.
  • Possesses analytical ability to interpret/research/explore/problem-solve/recognize data trends.

Required Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Related work experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • 3+ years financial reporting experience in a financial services organization or related field with a focus on reporting and data management.
  • Credit union or banking experience desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to use keyboard, monitor, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to decipher data contained in documents, reports, spreadsheets, etc., presented both on paper and electronically.
  • Ability to access document files/filing drawers above and below waist levels.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
