Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Full Time Reporting Specialist to join our Grant Reporting Team team located at the Youth & Family Building working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.Summary:The reporting specialist is responsible for assisting grant project directors with the identification, submission and verification of all programmatic and financial reporting requirements. Responsibilities:* Advise the project developer of any financial requirements, if known, during the initial proposal process* Responsible for the identification of all program and financial reporting requirements for a range of 100-250 federally funded programs; and reporting timelines associated with awarded federal grant projects, contracts or agreements* Review and research assigned federal award terms and conditions to ensure reporting requirements are met* Manage the project reporting timelines for both programmatic and financial reporting and ensure reports are submitted on time* Assist project directors with reporting templates, edits and submission. Including creation of the template in Microsoft and/or Adobe Acrobat* Participate in the post-award review meeting* Coordinate with project support on the status on assigned grants* Maintains list of reporting due dates and keeps the reporting manager informed of any issues* Work with budgeting and support and internal audit, as needed, to coordinate data sharing and data collection* Responsible for maintaining reporting website information for reports submission. Including updating/changing passwords, attend technical assistance webinars for instructions and report submissions* Ensures project close-out* Audits files throughout life cycle of grant* Advise the reporting manager on any findings during reporting* Coordinate with federal agencies to ensure both programmatic and financial reporting requirements are accurate* Attends relevant national, regional and local meetings* Performs all other duties as assignedCompetencies:Essential:* Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements* Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters* Ability to work independently* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability* Prioritizes, meets deadlines and works independently in a high-pressure environment and uses appropriate judgement in upward communication regarding assignments* Able to read, understand and apply regulations and policies* Ability to multitask* Organizes work and assigned area logically and orderly* Relates problems and translates understandable solutions* Works well within a team* Organizational and time-management* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management* Writes effective communications with team, departments, guests and management* Prepares role specific reportsSkills:Essential:* Basic Computer skills* Must be familiar with the MS Office Suite of productsExperience:Nonessential:* 1 year directly related experienceEducation:Essential:* High School, GED or EquivalentNonessential:* Associates Degree in directly related fieldNonessential:* Associate's degree in business administration or related fieldCredentials:Essential:* Pass general background check* Standard Driver's LicenseWorking Conditions:Essential:* Pass pre-employment drug test* Sitting up to 50% of shift* Manual dexterity* Sometimes bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach* Sometimes lift and or carry up to 10 lbs* Works in an office setting* Light travel* Must be flexible with work schedule
