Representative, Gift Processing

The University of Illinois Foundation is the official fundraising and private gift-receiving organization of the University of Illinois. It works closely with alumni and friends, faculty and staff, corporations and foundations, as well as campus development professionals to create fundraising programs and opportunities that benefit the University.

The Representative, Gift Processing works independently and as a team to process gifts by determining constituents and the appropriate designation for the gift intent. This includes research, codes, and commits grants and contracts, event revenue, and constituent revenue transactions using discretion and independent judgment with respect to processing transactions in an accurate and timely manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Researches revenue transactions to determine the correct constituent, designation, application, and other transaction details based on source documentation and online transaction information. Contacts donors and units for clarification when necessary.

2. Properly codes transaction details into the CRM batch screen in an efficient, timely and accurate manner using a defined sequence to ensure accurate data.

3. Processes all different types of batches UIF's CRM, taking care of any batch exceptions so all transactions in each batch can be accounted for and committed to the system.

4. Updates constituents contact and relationship information based on source documentation received.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

One to three years of related work experience;

Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal) with the ability to exercise courtesy, tact and flexibility;

Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

Ability to recognize and set priorities and coordinate work in order to meet deadlines;

Excellent organizational and detail oriented skills;

Ability to work with diverse constituent groups;

Basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications and basic web search engines;

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree;

Experience with accounting or business-related fields;

Experience with the donor Tracking and Engagement Database (TED) and Hyland Onbase;

Knowledge of University of Illinois Foundation and University of Illinois administrative systems and procedures;

Familiarity with University Advancement activities;
