Job Description:
OverviewThe Facilities & Infrastructure Operations Division is responsible for plant engineering, plant energy and utility operations, and facility operations for the South campus and leased facilities, North Campus and Infrastructure Operations, the Physical Science facility, and the 300 Area. In addition, the Division oversees campus infrastructure such as fabrication and craft services, duplicating and mail services, relocations, receiving, distributed services, and maintains operations of roads, grounds, and utilities for the campus.Bargaining Unit:
  • Weekly Pay: $1,274.54
  • This is a bargaining unit position and will be under the Battelle/HAMTC Collective Bargaining Agreement. As a condition of employment, unless otherwise exempted, the staff member will be required to join the appropriate union affiliated with the Hanford Metal Trades Council (HAMTC) after 30 days of continuous service and pay union dues or pay agency fees to such union in lieu of joining.
Responsibilities
  • Perform production work, such as, but not limited to, operate large scale commercial digital printers/copiers, plotters, laminators, cutters, folders, coilers, punchers, and other related specialized printing equipment.
  • Work with document manipulating software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and print server programs.
  • Scan and OCR bound items and loose documents for electronic storage.
  • Move, copy, and adjust all applicable electronic or manually scanned files directly related to reproduction service orders. These electronic files may reside on reproduction shared areas or may be removable media such as CD, DVD, or USB drives. These files will be copied from the applicable media to a local reproduction computer(s) in accordance with the request outlined by the customer.
  • Assist customers as needed.
Work Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - FridayWorkplace Arrangement: Onsite, Richland, WA QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have experience with Office Suite & Adobe Creative Cloud Software.
  • Must be able to multi-task with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to complete work assigned by others either individually or as a team member.
  • Ability to remain standing and perform job duties for extended periods of time during a work shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated good judgment and a positive attitude.
  • Proven longevity in previous roles.
  • Experience and knowledge of operation of high-speed copiers and associated finishing equipment or equivalent experience in an office environment where these types of machines are utilized.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment for paper jams, loading issues, toner streaking and other such routine instances.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
