Job Description:

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required Position The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is the U.S. Government agency in charge of designing, building, launching, and maintaining America's intelligence satellites. Develop. Acquire. Launch. Operate. Apogee's ideal Requirements Engineer will lead efforts to capture user needs by performing requirements elicitation directly with users, decomposition of requirements, performing deep dive analysis of requirements to identify capability gaps and areas of redundancy. As part of these efforts, the Requirements Engineer ensures traceability while continuously seeking opportunities for cost reduction. What You'll Do

  • Provide expertise in Requests for Change (RFC) and Requirements Configuration Management (CM) processes;
  • Possess understanding of NRO enterprise capability architecture and requirements baseline management processes, including Common Services and System to Service Link (STSL)
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or other STEM degree program or related equivalent additional experience, related in technical discipline
  • 5+ years in Systems Engineering or related field
  • Experience with Intelligence Community Capability Requirements (ICCR) process
  • Experience with elicitation of strategic, enterprise and solution requirements
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Very strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skill
  • Proficient in analytical skills and ability to develop and recommend solutions for problems/issues
Desired Skills
  • Experience with GEOINT, SIGINT and/or COMM systems and overall space and ground architecture
  • Experience with core Systems Engineering Disciplines (Requirements, Schedule, Risk, Readiness, System Closure, VV&T, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the Intelligence Community and associated government agencies
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, and ability to lead technical forums
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Tools
