Salary: $67,000-$74,000I. Position PurposeThe Rescue Kitchen Program Coordinator at Hocking College is responsible for overseeing theoperational and strategic aspects of Hocking College's partnership with La Soupe and othercommunity partners. This role involves managing relationships with rescue and share partners,planning and scheduling both internal and external operations (including pickups, deliveries,staffing, and volunteers/students), and supporting the project's fundraising and administrativefunctions.II. Duties and ResponsibilitiesPartner Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for rescue and share partners,fostering and maintaining relationships to ensure seamless operations.Operational Planning: Develop and manage scheduling for pickups and deliveries,coordinating with external partners and internal teams, including staff and studentvolunteers.Industry Knowledge: Stays up-to-date with industry trends, the state of food insecurity andneeds across Southeast Ohio, and competitor activities to identify priority partnerships andopportunities for partnership.Staff and Volunteer Management: Oversee the work of staff and students involved in foodrescue, production, and distribution-ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.Fundraising Support: Assist in identifying and securing funding sources by supporting thefundraising team with operational data and resources.Logistics Coordination: Ensure that the transportation of meals, equipment, and otherresources is carried out effectively, in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Administrative Functions: Manage project-related administrative tasks, including reporting,budgeting, and maintaining compliance with grants and other funding requirements.Community Engagement: Represent the program in local community events and outreachinitiatives to promote awareness and develop new partnerships.Program Evaluation: Track performance metrics, assess the impact of the program, andadjust operations as necessary to meet goals.III. Qualifications - Education, Experience, and SkillsEducation: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in management, logistics,administration, or related field preferred.Experience: Minimum of 3 years in program management, operations, logistics, or relatedfields.Experience working with volunteers and staff.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.Ability to manage complex logistical operations.Knowledge and understanding of meeting and event planning principles, requirements,procedures, and available resources.Knowledge of conference facilities, technology, and equipment.Ability to maintain confidential information.Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Knowledge of public institution purchasing principles, procedures, regulations, andstandards.Must be detail oriented and a self-starter with ability to prioritize and work independently.Internal systems development knowledge with the ability to scale projects.Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects.Open to suggestions for improvement.Ability to work as a team member and have flexibility.Behaves in accordance with Hocking College mission, goals, and values.Physical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands and work environment described here reflect those necessary for anemployee to perform the essential functions of this role successfully.
