Job Summary:
Coordinate the collection and entry of research data, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the data extraction process and building a standardized database of patient research cohorts for the core lab research data repository. Conduct chart reviews and extract clinical and pathological information from electronic medical records complying with HIPAA regulations. Assisting with digital pathology research operations: digitizing pathology glass slides, working with image management system for integrating digitized slides and associate meta-data, exporting and de-identifying images and research data. Perform basic statistical analysis for preliminary data presentation. Write short reports summarizing research findings and progress. Document research workflows and protocols in a clear and concise manner, maintain the protocols up-to-date and adhere to regulatory standards as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Student must be enrolled in a matriculated undergraduate or graduate program at a SUNY University. Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task effectively, adjust to changing priorities, and use sound judgment to determine priorities. Computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Sciences, Biology, or a related field.
Work Days:
M-F 9:00-5:00 Flexible hours up to 24 hours per week.
