Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPurpose / Job Summary To gain and share an in-depth understanding of Clysar processes. This position is the focal point for measuring and monitoring key process variables, working directly with operations and maintenance to resolve short-term issues and with the rest of the Research Development team to solve chronic issues.Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.Responsibilities
- Directs and participates in process troubleshooting activities on a daily basis to urgently resolve acute process-related problems.
- Develops proposals and executes improvement programs to deal with chronic process issues.
- Develops and implements small capital projects as needed to carry out improvement programs.
- Provides process troubleshooting training and support to develop skills of technicians, operators, and mechanics.
- Communicates with R&D personnel and helps coordinate plant activities related to product development.
- Works with Quality manager and coordinators to help understand product issues that may be related to manufacturing process and develop appropriate improvements.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to safety on and off the site, and personal leadership to help the plant achieve safety objectives.
- Strong communication and team skills necessary to work well with personnel from all functions across the site and with R&D.
- Strong knowledge of personal computers and all Microsoft Office software.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills to quickly and effectively identify root cause of problems and implement solutions.
- Results-oriented, with a passion to deliver performance against objectives.
- Training and experience in statistical analysis and scientific methods.
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing or similar process improvement methods a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated record over time of accomplishing objectives on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- One to two years of industrial experience.
