Your mission will be to:Purpose of the job:Are you a detail oriented, conscientious worker interested in both nutrition and pharmaceutical clinical research? We are looking for a research assistant / Phlebotomist to join our clinical research team. You will assist with the conduct of study trials by performing recruitment screening phone calls, preparing all necessary materials for day to day functions, performing vitals/ECGs/DEXA scans/heights/weights, entering subject data, and supporting our laboratory. We are a dynamic, busy, research team! We will consider an experienced Lab Technician that thrives in a team environment while being responsible for successful collection and processing of subject's samples during clinical projects.Main activities:Work with study coordinators and physicians to ensure participant safety and enrollment in clinical trialsProvide administrative and clinical support, including front desk check in and next day chart preparationPerform vital signs, height and weight measurements, ECGs and assisting with participant visits, as neededPerform recruitment calls and interact with interested participants to determine study eligibilityAttend and interact in study kickoff meetingsMaintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of assigned protocolsProvide necessary clinic and lab support for day to day functionsComplete study related documents including data entryContribute to our professional and company imageAdhere to Good Clinical PracticesAble to support the laboratory, specifically:o Collect routine blood and urine specimenso Collect and process stool, urine, saliva, skin swabs, and other samples as needed.o Collect timed specimens, utilizing intravenous catheters at timeso Process and ship patient samples to various reference laboratorieso Order and process incoming supplieso Adhere to CDC recommendations and OSHA requirementsCommunication:Internal: All Addison Clinic, Sensory, and Contract Research Organization staff.External: Works directly with the public and stakeholders.YOUR PROFILEKnowledge:Profile (required education and professional experience):1-2 years phlebotomy experienceMedical Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care TechBA/BS degree or equivalent work experienceRequired skills:Outstanding customer service skillsExcellent communicator and creative thinkerHigh EnergyBonus: previous experience in clinical researchBuild and maintain productive collaborative relationships within the team and across the supported laboratories.Responsible for proper execution of the welcoming and on boarding process in a consistent, professional, and timely manner for select accounts. Responsible for setting up programs and testing information in the laboratory information management system (LIMS) / CRM / ECN /myMXNS and any other system set ups critical to customer management.Desire a highly creative, energetic, customer-service oriented individual to engage and attract study participants.Work Environment: The position works in an administrative office or laboratory environment. Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials may occur and protective laboratory coat and safety glasses must be worn when visiting laboratory facilities. Physical dexterity is necessary to effectively manipulate a keyboard. May be required to lift up to 30 pounds.
