We focus on emerging research needs and rapidly deliver solutions.Job OverviewFunctioning somewhat independently, the incumbent assists with and conducts laboratory experiments on research projects within well-defined guidelines; keeps abreast of current publications relative to methods, techniques, and developments within area of research; collects, prepares, and evaluates results of (or response to) process; summarizes data.Responsibilities:
- Operates laboratory equipment and contributes to laboratory maintenance.
- Performs a variety of assays, tests, and studies of a routine nature.
- Performs calculations to complete research test results; collates data; performs statistical analysis of lab results and maintains notes and log or computer database; performs basic procedures for computer-assisted data analysis.
- Prepares stock chemical solutions, offers solutions.
- Participates in training sessions and workshops.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
- Prepare reports
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's or Masters's Degree in Biology or a related field is required.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are essential.
- Prior experience with enzyme kinetics will be a plus
- Must have proven ability in biochemical assay and protein characterization
