Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our R&D group. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and optimization of our cutting-edge biosensor platform. This role involves designing and executing biological experiments, supporting product innovation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in biology or a related field, hands-on laboratory experience, and an eagerness to work in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments to support the development and validation of molecular interaction assays on the iRiS platform.
- Prepare and handle biological samples, such as proteins, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules, ensuring high-quality experimental outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to test and refine device performance using biologically relevant samples.
- Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records, analyze data, and contribute to technical reports and presentations.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including biosensors and other analytical tools.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts to enhance platform performance and experimental workflows.
- Stay informed about emerging scientific trends and technologies to integrate novel approaches into research activities.
- Adhere to laboratory safety standards and contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in a research or R&D laboratory setting (academic or industry).
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., protein purification, ELISA, fluorescence assays) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process and interpret experimental data.
- Proficiency with laboratory software for data collection and analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with biosensor technologies, such as Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) or other label-free detection methods.
- Experience in assay optimization and validation for research or industrial applications.
- Knowledge of kinetics and thermodynamics of molecular interactions.
- Understanding of product development workflows in the context of molecular analysis tools.
