Position Summary The Columbia Center for Translational Immunology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) seeks a highly motivated technician to support immunology research. Responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks related to animal husbandry, animal sampling and processing, processing of human clinical samples, molecular assay performance, and support with data management and analysis. Responsibilities
    • Assist with animal husbandry and sampling.
    • Process human and murine samples, maintaining meticulous records to ensure traceability and quality control.
    • Assist with comprehensive analyses of samples, encompassing data processing and analysis.
    • Foster a culture of scientific excellence, integrity, efficiency, teamwork, continuous learning, and improvement.
    • Perform other related duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications
      • Undergraduate student with coursework in chemistry, biology, physics, or related science.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data management files. Preferred Qualifications
        • Experience in common biology techniques such as tissue culture and RNA isolation. Other Requirements
          • The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made
          • Participation in the medical surveillance program
            • Position will involve work with laboratory animals
            • Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
