  • Optimize and characterize materials and surface chemistries to enhance sensor performance and reproducibility.
  • Conduct experiments to test molecular interactions and validate assay designs using various analytical techniques.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate chemical components with biological and engineering systems.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental work and contribute to technical reports and presentations.
  • Troubleshoot experimental challenges and develop innovative solutions to improve workflows and product performance.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including biosensors, analytical tools, and instrumentation for surface characterization.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in surface chemistry and materials science to bring innovative approaches to the team.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 1–3 years of experience in a research or R&D laboratory setting (academic or industry).
  • Hands-on experience with surface chemistry, materials characterization, or analytical chemistry techniques is highly desirable.
  • Experience with surface immobilization techniques for biomolecules (e.g., SAMs, click chemistry, or polymer coatings).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with biosensor technologies and applications in molecular interaction analysis.
  • Knowledge of kinetics and thermodynamics of molecular binding interactions.
  • Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including spectroscopy, chromatography, and surface analysis tools (e.g., FTIR, XPS, AFM).
  • Understanding of product development workflows in the context of analytical and biosensor platforms.

What We Offer
