Randstad is seeking a talented Research Associate to work in a high throughput lab, delivering daily and weekly genotyping targets under tight deadlines. Responsibilities include a variety of manual and automated tasks in the setup laboratories.
This is an onsite position in St. Louis, MO. Relocation cost reimbursement is not available for this position. Local candidates are preferred.
Job Duties:
- Sample set up, maintenance, troubleshooting, and some experimental design.
- Processing samples through production workflows by operation of manual and automated lab equipment,
- Sample prep, manual DNA extraction, and Infinium prep for the Fingerprint Lab as well as Library Prep for SKIM sequencing – all activities support our high-density genotyping platform. Responsible for activities related to shipping & receiving, supply inventory management, and seed storage compliance.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry) with at least 1 year of lab experience.
- Attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.
- Experience in fast-paced settings (even non-lab related; i.e. restaurants/ retail/ shipping) is desired.
