The C. N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP) at Stony Brook University anticipates filling one or more postdoctoral research appointments in theoretical physics, with anticipated appointment dates of September 1, 2025. Appointments are normally for three years. Research fields currently represented at the YITP include, but are not limited to, particle theory, cosmology, quantum field theory, string theory, condensed matter, statistical mechanics, and quantum information theory. The Institute has a tradition of collaboration with the Departments of Physics and Astronomy and of Mathematics and the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics at Stony Brook and with Brookhaven National Laboratory. Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)Completion of all requirements for a Doctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in theoretical physics or a closely related field, with a record of independent research. 3 years of research experience.
