Our client is searching for a dynamic Associate Biology Scientist with experience interrogating cellular and molecular mechanisms as they relate to kinase target pathway modulation, off-target liabilities, and resistance.
Responsibilities:
- Independently, develop, optimize, and proactively troubleshoot cellular screening assays.
- Responsible for generating, processing, interpreting, and presenting data in cross functional team meetings
- Proactively employ cell and molecular biology techniques, including gene targeting approaches and small molecule inhibition, to dissect mechanism of action.
- Independently design, execute and document experiments to evaluate target dependency, off target liabilities, phenotypic responses and identifying resistance mechanisms.
- Regularly share and present data with team members.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- MS/BS in oncology, cellular biology, molecular biology, or related discipline with 1+ years of industry or relevant research experience is required.
- Experience in developing and optimizing cell-based assays in multiple platforms (for example CTG, HTRF, AlphaLISA , FC, Jess-WB, NanoBret, Nanostring).
- Experience with different molecular and cellular biology techniques (such as Western Blot).
- Experience with genome editing (CRISPR or si/shRNA) for engineering cell line models is a plus.
- Familiar with tumor models and establishing PK/PD/efficacy relationships and delivering PD readouts by western blots for in vivo tumor models.
- Experience with standard software analytical tools, xlsx, Prism, or other synergy software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- A team player, who listens effectively, invites response and discussion.
