Research Associate VJob no: 500722 Department: Information Technology & Systems Center Work type: Staff Hourly On-Call Non-Exempt Location: Alabama Categories: Research - Computer SciencePurpose of the Position: The Research Associate V, S1-4 will be involved in all aspects of 3D Printing of CAD Models. The person will be required to print, post-process and finish 3D printed models and operate 3D resin and filament printers.Duties/Responsibilities•Manipulate, modify and prepare CAD models in CAD Software for 3D printing on resin and/or filament printers•Perform post-processing and finishing of 3D printed models•Provide support in the maintenance and cleaning of 3D printing equipment•Manage Timeliness associated with multiple 3D printing tasks•Coordinate ordering required 3D printing suppliesMinimum Requirements: •Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and years of work experience.•5.5-7 years of full-time verifiable work experience (preferably in science, engineering, business, liberal arts, or equivalent).•Must have extensive experience with CAD/3D software.
